Akumek Oy, founded by Timo Risku, provides experienced design and project management in mechanical theatre engineering.

Our expertise covers whole stage mechanics including upper machinery such as bar hoists, lighting bars and bridges, and point hoist, as well as floor machinery such as orchestra pit lifts, platform lifts, and turntables. We also provide consultancy for curtain systems including Austrian act curtains, horizontal curtains and back curtains. 

Design includes the rigging equipment specifications with principle layouts and functionality evaluations, as well as the system drawings.

Project management includes the technical tendering documents for rigging equipments, contractor/offer evaluations, production design, and control of manufacturing, installation and testing.

Akumek Oy acts in cooperation with Akukon Oy, which is the leading acoustics expert in Finland. Besides acoustics Akukon offers consultancy in light and AV systems design. Together we can provide our clients with a complete performance space design.
